RAPID CITY, SD (July 8, 2024) – The National Bowhunter Education Foundation (NBEF) recently recognized Kenny Fort as Instructor of the Year at the International Hunter Education Association gathering. Fort is a South Callaway High School and Middle School ag teacher in Mokane MO. He’s been a hunter education instructor since 2002 and a bowhunter education instructor since 2017. Each year Fort offers bowhunter education to the students in his classes and usually holds two in-school courses to meet the demand. Fort’s support of the program and willingness to offer the opportunity to his students is driven by his love of archery hunting and teaching students how to do it safely and successfully. Fort also couples his bowhunter ed classes with his NASP in school classes.
In recognition and appreciation of his efforts, Fort receives a certificate of recognition as well as a signed Mathews 2024 bow of his choice.
“NBEF is pleased to recognize Kenny Fort as an outstanding bowhunter education instructor,” explained Marilyn Bentz, NBEF Executive Director. “It’s always inspiring to hear about our instructors sharing their passion for bowhunting with students and helping students learn about safety and conservation. Our committed instructors help advance bowhunter education throughout the world.”
NBEF works with IHEA-USA to spread NBEF’s message about its safety and success-focused bowhunter ed classes, informational materials and to enthusiastically support the R3 efforts of the conservation hunting community.
NBEF helps bowhunters learn to be safe, successful and stewards of the sport. NBEF offers bowhunting instructional items, books, videos, 3-D models, apparel and more at nbef.org.
