RAPID CITY, SD (August 21, 2023) –National Bowhunter Education Foundation (NBEF) proudly sponsored the recent National Archery In The Schools Program (NASP®) State Chairman gathering, reaffirming its commitment to support the organization and those that oversee the nurturing of young archery talent and responsible for fostering an appreciation for bowhunting among the next generation.

“NBEF stands firmly alongside the NASP® organization and is unwavering in its commitment to support the program’s ongoing growth and success. We understand this program’s educational benefits and its ability to introduce young archery enthusiasts to the world of bowhunting,” explained Marilyn Bentz, NBEF Executive Director.

NASP®’s mission is to promote instruction in international-style target archery as part of in-school curriculum, to improve educational performance and participation in the shooting sports among students in grades 4-12.

NBEF also sponsored the 1st Place High School Team Scholarship at the NASP® National Tournament in Louisville. The NBEF contributed thousands of dollars toward scholarships. Additionally, NBEF donated two Genesis bows proudly adorned with the NBEF logo to the winning school for use in future archery instruction.

At the NASP Eastern Nationals, NBEF had an opportunity to engage with thousands of participants, coaches and families. This platform allowed NBEF to spotlight its safety and success-focused bowhunter education classes and educational materials.

“NBEF’s ongoing support has been invaluable to us,” explained NASP® President Tommy Floyd. “Our organizations share a dedication to introducing more youth to the shooting sports and the outdoor lifestyle.”
